Cantico "Amor" da Conny
Um casamento de estudantes num Sítio perto de São Paulo. A Noiva e o noivo estávam juntos com seus convidados sob uma árvore bonita. A noiva usou um vestido de verão branco simples.
Johannes fez a pregação do casamento. "Você não pode cantar uma canção?" ele me perguntou. Eu estava procurando uma música, e não encontrou nenhuma, então escrevi uma música para o casal. Lá estava com meu violão e foi a música do casamento apenas para esta sermonia. Foi um casamento bonito, com um churrasco bom.
Alguns anos mais tarde perguntou a minha amigo Milca (compositora e cantora em Recife) se pode publicar a minha música em seu CD. Claro, fique feliz. Então saiu no ritmo do Nordeste do Brasil.

Eine Studenten-Hochzeit auf einem Sítio in der Nähe von Sao Paulo. Bräutigam und Braut standen zusammen mit ihren Gästen unter einer schönen Laube. Die Braut trug ein einfaches weißes Sommerkleid.
Johannes hielt die Hochzeitsrede. "Kannst du ihnen nicht ein Lied singen?", hatte er mich gefragt. Ich suchte eine Lied und fand keins, also schrieb ich ein Lied für die Beiden. Da stand ich nun mit meiner Gitarre und war die einzigste Hochzeitsmusik an diesem Fest. Manchmal ist es lustig, in welche Situationen man als Missionarin kommt.
Es war eine schöne Hochzeit mit einem guten churrasco. (Grillfest)
Dann einige Jahre später fragte meine Freundin Milca (Komponistin und Sängerin in Recife) ob sie mein Lied auf ihrer CD veröffentlichen dürfe. Na klar, gerne. Und so klingt es im Rhytmus des Nord Ostens Brasiliens.

Jonathan Haidt: How common threats can make common ground
Very interesting!
If an asteroid were headed for Earth, we'd all band together and figure out how to stop it, just like in the movies, right? And yet, when faced with major, data-supported, end-of-the-world problems in real life, too often we retreat into partisan shouting and stalemate. Jonathan Haidt shows us a few of the very real asteroids headed our way -- some pet causes of the left wing, some of the right -- and suggests how both wings could work together productively to benefit humanity as a whole.
